Introducing Woodstock Chiropractor Dr. Ken Kilgore

Woodstock, Georgia chiropractor, Dr. Ken Kilgore with his family

This is the third consecutive round of antibiotics. Your child is going to need to have tubes in his ears,” declared our pediatrician.

Desperate to find an alternative, my wife and I turned to chiropractic. In just days, the ear infections subsided. Cari and I were amazed. This was just the beginning of our revelations to the power of chiropractic.

“We didn’t understand how or why chiropractic worked, but it prompted me to enter chiropractic college the very next year!” says Dr. Ken Kilgore.

Dr. Ken began his pre-chiropractic education in South Florida where he studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses. After completing his study there, he attended chiropractic college, completing courses including: biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care. He graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri.

"My philosophy is simple," states Dr. Ken. "We all have a brain and spinal cord that controls everything in our body. The brain communicates via the nerves. The nerves exit the spine from spaces between each spinal bone. Even the slightest spinal misalignment can interfere with the control and regulation of your body and your capacity to be healthy. My job is to find those areas and reduce their impact on your health. Understand more with the Getting Started video

Dr. Ken is married to Cari and they have three beautiful children, Kenady, Weston and Tucker. They relocated to Cherokee county from Central Florida, where Dr. Ken was practicing until April 2006. Almost every Sunday you’ll find them at Wildwood Baptist Church in Acworth. Family time is important to Dr. Ken. That’s why on most days you can find them in the backyard with their Labrador retriever, on a walk or gathered at the dinner table. Dr. Ken has enjoyed opportunities to coach his daughter in softball, and his son in soccer and baseball. He looks forward to growing his involvement in the community through participation in civic organizations and other groups.

Chiropractic is the foundation of nervous system function from a structural perspective.  However, there can be limitations on our body’s ability to heal and express health.  One of these limitations is nutrition.  Dr. Ken has explored multiple supplements and a variety of companies but one recurring thought kept coming up. “How do you know when and why to take a supplement?”  This quest for an answer was cumbersome and filled with resistance, however Dr. Ken pressed on and was rewarded for his efforts.  The reward was finding a high tech piece of equipment that could provide the answers he was looking for and a huge list of additional solutions even dealing with homeopathy.

Dr. Ken found a technology being used that could evaluate many different aspects of a person’s health in a non invasive manner.  This relief and solution to pressing question “When & Why” was in front of him.  Now he has brought this technology in to his Woodstock practice and is currently 1 of only 5 in the state of Georgia.

As a matter of fact The Mayo Clinic in Phoenix uses the same instrument.  Dr. Ken states I am amazed at what is possible these days with technology.  It is refreshing to know that there are non invasive alternatives to complex issues like allergies, nutrition, stress, hormonal imbalances and much more.”

"Giving back from the abundance God has blessed me with is exciting," beams Dr. Ken. “I look forward to meeting you and your family and learning how we may be of service to you. Give our office a call today and let’s arrange a time to explore your options.”

Dr. Ken Asks some important questions of interest to Woodstock residents - Chiropractor Woodstock Dr. Ken Asks...

Would you rather feel good or be healthy?
Ask most people in Woodstock and they want to feel good. Careful! Would you take medicine that makes you feel good, rather than vomit to expel improperly prepared food? Every chiropractic patient knows that you can't measure your health by how you feel. True health is when your body works as it should.
What causes subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
